My name is Xabriel J. Collazo-Mojica, I'm currently a senior computer engineering student at University of Puerto Rico - Mayagüez Campus, a.k.a. Colegio.

I've had the opportunity of doing undergraduate research in the following areas: e-government and autonomic computing. I'm interested in grad school. My research interests as of now lay in Software Engineering and Engineering Education. I will graduate in May 2009 so I expect to apply for admissions on Fall 2008. The finalshortlist for me (not necessarily in this order):

  • CMU - ranked #1 (tie with MIT); I especially like their PhD in Soft. Engineering program.
  • FIU - Excellent Faculty, excellent funding. Minorities everywhere!
  • UIUC - ranked #5; Great place, great faculty, excellent opportunities for funding
  • UMass - ranked #17; Great opportunities for minorities, plus faculty doing research on Educational Technology.
  • CU-Boulder - These guys are doing top research on Collaborative Systems!
  • UMD - Their research group in Software Engineering is huge. They're tackling everything; from methodologies to testing.
  • UoT - Prof. Greg Wilson is doing great research on collaborative systems back at Canada!
  • ... and a few others, but I'm too tired!
